VARICOCELE :   VARICOSE OF THE GENITAL VEIN

CLINIC SIGNS : testicular pain, pelvic pain, increasd by menstrual cycles

DIAGNOSTIC : increase size of the testicle, echo-doppler - phlébography

THE PROCEDURE : PER-CUTANEOUS EMBOLIZATON

No scare

The treatment is endovascular and consists in closing the varicose veins.  

Ponction ain the femoral vein at th groin. guide and catheter 

Occlusion of the varicose veins by

- coils : petits ressorts

- sclerotherapy : Aetoxysclérol

- biologic glue

THE ANESTHESIA  is local

AFTER THE OPERATION

You may have pelvic or testicular pain

You may have a hematoma at the point of puncture

No bandages

POST-OPERATIVE RECOMMENDATIONS :  

Walking

Wearing compression stockings for a week. They can be removed before going to sleep.

Showering : is athorized the same day
